So before i talk about where to get the best Tom Yum in Singapore, i would like to talk about the dish itself! The word originated from Tai languages, the word 'Tom' refers to boiling and the world 'Yam' refers to the Thai's spicy and sour salad! So moving on to the ingredients, there are lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, lime juice , fish sauce and lastly chilli peppers. With all the ingredients within a bowl of soup, it becomes one of my favourite dish of all time!
Before telling you the location of Tom Yum paradise, i will also include a guide below showing how you can make your own personal Tom Yum soup! Different people have different taste and preferences, so with this you can create your very own that will suit your taste perfectly!
So now i am going to give my recommendation of where the most 'awesome' tom yum can be found in Singapore! *Drumrolls* It is Northern Thai Restaurant which is located at 145 Upper Paya Lebar Road, Singapore 534848! It is open daily from 9am to 5pm but closed on Sundays and Public holidays. So don't delay your trip to paradise and head down to try it!
