Yap Kee's Wanton Mee

Singapore Wanton noodles was probably influenced by Hong Kong cuisine, but over time Singapore developed their own version of the Wanton Mee.

Wanton Mee, Singapore's version, is usually eaten ‘dry’, drenched with some light sweet sauce, slices of pork char siew and wanton dumplings filled with pork, along side a small bowl of soup. You also have a choice between the spicy one or the one without spicy-ness. The spicy type has chilli being mixed into the noodles, while the non-spicy "kids" version sometimes have tomato sauce mixed into it. To me this dish is very addictive. When i first tried it i was very fond of the taste. It might seems to be a very plain and dull looking dish but
when the noodle is delivered into your mouth, you will be in heaven! I actually found this on the internet but have yet to visit the shop. It is called Yap Kee Wanton Mee that is located at Holland Drive Food Centre ( 44 Holland Drive, #02-04, Singapore 270044). I will head down and have that awesome Wanton Mee, Will you?
