Chicken Rice

Chicken rice in Singapore and to be more precise, it is also known as the Hainanese Chicken rice and it is one of the most popular dishes in Singapore, it is so popular that I could even say all Singaporean would at least heard about it...

In fact, it is rather hard to find a coffee shop or hawker center that don't sell Chicken rice.The rice that is used for chicken rice isn't just any of the normal one that we had at home, it is cooked with the oil of the chicken, ginger, garlic and some with pandan leaves to make the fragance of the rice to get even better.

There are various type of chicken rice as well, some of the Singaporean would prefer the roasted chicken aka 'Black chicken' while some might prefer "white chicken" instead and the are certain stores that serves chicken that is already without the bones.

As for the Chilli sauce, it is made of garlic and red chilli and it is often served with the chicken rice, there is also people who prefer the dark soy sauce as well.

Anyway, the Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice has a total of 7 branches but it will be better to go for the one that is located at River Valley and Balestier Road as they are serving the best Hainanese Chicken rice...
